What each key returns
Three answers: no key, a free key and any paid plan. A field missing from an answer is not on that key, never a "no".

Common questions
Do higher plans return more fields?
No. Every paid plan returns every field, the same on Starter as on Max. A plan is its monthly lookups and its overage rate, and nothing else.
What does a free key add over no key?
Tor and relay detection with their detail, the address's location and its ASN, at 50,000 lookups a month instead of 1,000 a day from each address.
What counts as a request?
One address looked up. A batch of 500 addresses is 500 requests, each costing what it would alone. Private and reserved addresses cost nothing on a paid plan, and the official SDKs answer them without a request at all.
What happens when I reach my quota?
On Free, lookups stop until your next month starts, with HTTP 429 and no Retry-After. On a paid plan they keep answering, and what you use past the quota is billed at your plan's overage rate. Set an overage cap in Billing to stop at an amount you choose; a cap of $0 stops at the quota.
When is overage billed?
When each usage month ends. A month runs from your billing date to the same date the next month, on yearly plans too, and what you used past its quota is charged to your card then.
How does yearly billing work?
You pay for ten months and get twelve, up front, and the quota stays monthly: each month starts with the plan's full allowance, and what's left at the end of one doesn't carry over.
What happens when I upgrade or downgrade?
An upgrade starts a new billing month on the new plan at once, with its full quota, and moves your billing date to that day. You pay the new plan's price less a credit for the share of this month's requests you haven't used, and anything already used past your old quota is billed at the old plan's rate. A downgrade takes effect when the period you've paid for ends.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from Billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for and doesn't renew, and overage you've already used is still billed. Or ask within 14 days of a payment and we refund it in full, ending the plan then. After that, paid periods aren't refunded unless the service failed you or the charge was a mistake, as the refund policy explains.
Who bills me?
Paddle, our merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles sales tax and VAT. Every invoice is in Billing, with its PDF.
Can I get a custom plan?
Yes. Enterprise is priced to your volume, with a negotiated overage rate, database licenses per dataset, a named contact and response times written into the contract. Contact sales.
