Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 August 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and Mslm Dev, trading as VPNDetection ("VPNDetection", "we", "us"), covering your access to and use of vpndetection.io, the VPNDetection API, and any related service (together, the "Service"). We are registered in Pakistan with our registered office at 195-B Jasmine Block Sector C Bahria Town, Lahore, Punjab 53720.
By accessing the Service you confirm you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
We may change these terms from time to time. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date above, and material changes are notified to account holders. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
The Service is not tailored to industry-specific regimes such as HIPAA, FISMA or GLBA. If your use would be subject to those, do not use the Service without agreeing separate terms with us in writing.
The Service is for users aged 18 or over.
2. The Service
VPNDetection classifies IP addresses, indicating whether an address is associated with a VPN, proxy, hosting provider, or other categories of network infrastructure, and provides a risk score derived from that classification.
Our classifications are probabilistic, not statements of fact. They are inferences drawn from network measurement, published operator data and public registry records, and they can be wrong or become stale as address space is reassigned. You are responsible for deciding how much weight to give a classification and for the consequences of any decision you take on the basis of one. In particular, you should not use our output as the sole basis for denying a person access to a service, and you must not represent our classifications to third parties as established fact.
3. Accounts
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate registration details and to keep them current, to keep your credentials and API keys confidential, and to accept responsibility for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@vpndetection.io if you believe your account or a key has been compromised.
We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe has provided false information or breached these terms.
4. Fees and payment
Paid plans are billed through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for purchases. This means your contract for the purchase itself is with Paddle, and Paddle handles payment, invoicing and applicable sales tax and VAT. Paddle's terms and privacy notice apply to that part of the transaction.
You agree to pay the fees for your plan at the prices in effect when you subscribe, and you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. Prices may change, and we will give notice before a change affects an existing subscription. All amounts are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and access continues until then. If something has gone wrong, contact support@vpndetection.io before cancelling and we will try to put it right.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Resell, redistribute or sublicense our data, or build a competing classification dataset from it, without our written permission.
- Systematically extract our data beyond the limits of your plan, or circumvent rate limits, quotas or authentication.
- Use the Service to harass, profile or discriminate against individuals, or in any way that breaches data protection or anti-discrimination law.
- Interfere with the Service or the infrastructure it runs on, including probing, scanning, or attempting to breach security or authentication measures.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable regulation.
- Share API keys with third parties or use another party's credentials.
- Misrepresent your identity or your affiliation, or impersonate another user or our staff.
We may suspend access without notice where we reasonably believe continued access presents a risk to the Service, to other users, or to us.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, datasets, classifications, documentation, design and brand, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service and its output for your own business purposes. No other rights are granted.
Feedback you send us about the Service may be used freely and without obligation to you. You retain ownership of your own data that you submit to the Service.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we will give reasonable notice of a material change or discontinuation affecting a paid plan. We are not liable for loss arising from downtime or from a change made in accordance with this section.
8. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that classifications are accurate, complete or current, nor that the Service will be error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages, nor for lost profit, lost revenue or loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the month preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or 500 US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case some of the above may not apply to you and you may have additional rights.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us and our officers, agents and employees against any loss, liability or claim, including reasonable legal costs, arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of the rights of a third party. We will notify you of any such claim and may, at your expense, assume its defence.
11. Termination
These terms apply for as long as you use the Service. We may deny access for breach of these terms or of applicable law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability and indemnity.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
Before starting formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally for at least thirty days from written notice. If that fails, the dispute is referred to and finally resolved by the International Commercial Arbitration Court under the European Arbitration Chamber (Brussels, Belgium) in accordance with its rules. There will be three arbitrators, the seat of arbitration is Lahore, Pakistan, the language is English, and the substantive law is that of Pakistan.
Arbitration is limited to the dispute between the parties individually. To the extent permitted by law, no arbitration may be joined with another, and there is no right to bring a claim on a class or representative basis.
These provisions do not apply to claims seeking to enforce or protect intellectual property rights, or to any application for injunctive relief, which may be brought before the courts identified above.
13. General
These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. If a provision is found unenforceable, it is severed and the rest continues in effect. We may assign our rights and obligations; you may not without our consent. Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture or employment relationship. Notices to you may be given electronically, and you consent to receiving them that way.
